The New Jetta commercials...
Scare the crap out of me. If you haven't seen it, they show people talking in a Jetta, get hit by another car and the airbags open. I know its probably a 'safety" commercial, but they freak me out.

I had nightmares after seeing one them. I mean it gets people talking and remembering " Jetta"...guess thats the point but I am personally appauled by them, whether the people are " not harmed" in the end ...whatever,,,its too much!!!

Every time I see them I jump! They definately do get your attention, but I can't decide if it's a good thing or not because it really scares the $hit out of you.

i jumped the first time i saw it too...but then it makes you think...that car company believes in that car so much that they will show you real life situations with the car, honestly i think its great advertising.

OMG! They are so freaking scary. DH always rewinds them and watch it again because when they are talking inside the car, you can see out the window, the other car approaching before it hits. CRAZY!!

maybe it's just me, but for some reason it has the opposite effect. i could never buy a Jetta after having watched the commercial, for the simple fact that I'd be terrified to drive the damn thing! That commercial would constantly be playing in the back of my mind!

Absolutely, I think it's great advertising! I also love it how at the end when they show the car with all the info copy under it, there is damage in the spot where the car was hit in that commercial. It is very powerful! It is suppose to scare you a little, after all these things happen all the time. It shows this model is not just a cute toy, but as something that will save your life if need be!
