September moms - are your babies on a food strike?
Alex is! She barely takes her formula - maybe 3-4 ounces in the morning, one or two bottles in the afternoon and wholly refuses to take anything at night. And for the last few days, she REFUSES to eat anything I put near her! I know she's eating breakfast and lunch at daycare, but no dinner for at least 2-3 days now! Anyone else?

I wonder what it is? Though, last night DH joked - Alex has more than enough chub-chub to get her through an entire season without eating, so we aren't worrying just yet

I think a lot of us are going through this ... we've actually been talking about it a lot when we have our gtgs and stuff. I know Emily did it for a while but it started a few months ago. I even took her to the dr for it. She is starting to eat more again. She actually ate a TON yesterday.
The advice that I got from the dr was not to freak out if she only eats certain things, that at least she's eating them and not nothing at all. She gives me no problem with things like cheese and mac & cheese. Also the doctor said that at this age it is OK if she doesn't always eat in her high chair but I can feed her while she's playing, just sneak bites in here and there, she said she might not like being contained in the high chair since she's so active now, and that it isn't habit forming at such a young age.
Emily hasn't eaten baby food since about 2 months ago. So it's been a struggle to find stuff she can eat and would eat. But now she's actually starting to eat quite a bit more again.

Miranda has been doing this for months now. She takes a full bottle when she wakes up the rest are hit or miss. Sometimes she takes them sometimes she doesn't. Food is the same way. If Miranda is hungry she'll gobble it up if not there is no convincing her to eat. I just keep offering her food and trying different things.

Like Melissa said we went through this also about a months ago. It was hard and frustrating until we figure out what to do. I was so desperate I was considering taking to be evaluated by a feeding specialist. My friend (who happens to be one) laughed at me. She told me to cut up real food and leave him alone on his chair and he will figure out what to do. Well he did! He is a little "picky" still but he wanted to feed himself. If i touch his food he gets angry and throws it on the floor.
So no more jars for us! Good luck.
