Spay Question for Cats...

I heard today that the earlier you spay a cat the smaller they will be? Is that true? My vet said I can do it next month, the kittens will be 5 months then... but since I just heard this (not from the vet), I dont' know if I should wait until they are 6 monts??

Re: Spay Question for Cats...

My cats were about 5 months when they were spayed and neutered. Lydia is on the small side (10lbs) and Eddie is chubby (16lbs). They don't look too small in comparison to other cats.

Re: Spay Question for Cats...

We adopted our kitten and he was spayed already at 3 months. The vet told us its called "early spaying/neutering" THeyf ound its just as effective. We have had no problems with Sisko, and he is a boy, so I was afraid he would spray--but he will be 1 on Sunday and nothing!!
