I am going to be on the Channel 7 news tonight!!!
Well I went to the hospital earlier this morning because I was feeling a discharge but it turned out to be nothing and the baby is fine.
So when I left the hospital the channel 7 news van was right outside and they asked if I had oxford insurance which I do and they interviewed for a few mins because the reporter mentioned that oxford is having some kind of contract dispute with my hospital and that they are threatening to not pay them if they don't come to an agreement. I was like "what!!! i'm about to have a baby any day!!
So I will be on channel 7 tonight...

The hospital is Flushing Hospital. I called my insurance and they told me that they are not aware of any disputes with any hospital. I hope to God they are right.
My insurance is the primary. I am also under DH's insurance so I do have backup.

Don't they know that they shouldn't be scaring a pregnant woman like this.
Thank God for secondary insurance. I just hope they'll take it should there be a problem.

OMG, I hope everything is OK. Although, I do doubt that you would be responsible for payment in a situation like that. Also, of course the insurance company will say that they don't know anything about it....they don't want to loose any business.

I told the newsreporter that I never received any notice from them at all and that this really concerns me because I am due any day. They shot video of me and my mom getting into a cab...

Im glad baby Matthew is ok, thats all that matters.
Hey if the insurance doesnt pay the hospital, does that mean that they get to keep Matthew ?

Bad timing for this stuff to be happening. Like I said before I did call the insurance company and they said they were not aware of any disputes but of course who knows if they were telling you the truth.

They kinda made it look like that was a letter you received from Oxford since they put it up right after they spoke to you.

I just saw it myself and we taped it. How did I sound? Was my statement ok?
That letter did look like it was sent to me but meanwhile they never sent me anything. It's so funny cuz I called them today and they said that were not aware of any dispute with the hospital.
I like the slow motion shot they have of me getting into the cab...
