Breast feeding is all about supply & demand. The more you nurse and or pump the more milk your body will make. I exclusively nurse but did pump and also gave some bottles of my milk the 1st few weeks to make sure...

We had some weight issues as well so I started nursing more often and leaving her on longer and pumping. We give supplements of EBM. I have no frozen b/c my supply is not great. I just make it through each day barely and if we don't then we give some formula when needed.

ETA: She takes 3 oz after she's already nursed? That's an awful lot and not really a supplement at that point. My DD only takes 3 oz as a total feeding. How long does your DC nurse? Is the child ending the feeding or are you?

I dont know when your little one goes to sleep, but my baby goes to bed at 9 and i pump at 11pm.. I'm not supplementing after feedings though. I started because I'm getting ready for my return to work.
Maybe you shouild try pumping after feedings to build up your supply. Also try pumping one side when she is nursing on the other.
