I am so worried that Grace will get too hot with her jacket on in the carseat for a 2 1/2 hour car ride. Do you warm the car up first then take their coat and hat off inside the car and use a blanket. It has to be uncomfortable for them all bundled up. She is 7 1/2months old. Thanks in advance.

I'm wondering about this too. We are heading out on a 9 - 10 hr drive to NC tonight and I plan on just putting Jake in his PJs since the carseat has the BundleMe, but I'm afraid that with the heat on in the car, he might even be too warm in that.
I'm wondering if I should just put him in a onesie or keep the heat down...

I think I am going to put Talia in her car seat with the bundle me - but take off the top part of the bundle me and put on a light blanket for the ride.

for long rides we take the bundle me off in the car & just cover them w/ blankets. (no coats)

I put her in the carseat with a light sweater, light blanket, and bundle me -- then unzip the bundleme and fold it down when we are in the car so she just has the light sweater and blanket. if i need to take the blanket off I can easily take it off and put it back on.

For long car rides, I warm the car up and then when I put Alex in I take his jacket off.

I put the Eddie Bauer Fleece stretchy cover over the infant carseat, and just a light blanket onthe baby.. no coat.. Warmed up the car, ran the baby out, and after we were in the car for a few, I would pull off the fleece, and just keep the blanket on him-- The fleece thing would go back over him when we got there.. the coat would be packed just in case.

I use the bundle me in Julias carseat so I dont put a heavy jacket on her, so if it gets to hot in the car i just zipper the bundle me down a bit and shes fine.

marissa is too big for the bundle me I warm up the car when i can and then put her in the car seat and unzip her coat and take off her hat when I can't warm up the car Ikeep her bundled until the car is warm then undo everything
