oral surgery tomorrow
I am freaking out! I am having a dental implant put in tomorrow, but they are knocking me out for it. I am so nervous. My poor best friend has to take care of me until Dh gets home.
Anyone have this done...put my mind at ease please!

Wow, you should be fine! I had my implant done with just local novocaine. It was easy and painless! I was surprised, I prepared myself for the worst! You should be absolutely fine!

Yeah I am not sure why I am being put out! I thought local novacaine would be enough. I am upset by this.

Christy - I wish I had seen this earlier! I am the queen of oral surgery!
When I was younger, my teeth didn't want to fall out, so I had to have 3 surgeries to remove them, for a total of 19 teeth. I was put out for each surgery and it was rough - but nothing too terrible. Heck - I did it 3 times, so if it had been that bad, I would have had to figure soemthing out for the last two!

I was out for extraction of 4 impacted wisdom teeth. It was my first time under anesthesia and I was worried. YOu have no idea when you fall asleep and when you wake up its over. For me the worst part was actually the sore throat I had from the tube they put in once you are under.
