When do boys wear a size 4 shoe?
My MIL bought a pair of sneakers for the baby in a size 4. He is 2 months old. When do you think he will get to wear them?
I'm trying to figure out if I should return them or not.

My daughter's first pair of real shoes that I bought at 15.5 months were a size 5W. So I would guess that size 4 would have been around 1 year for her.

Hmm, I remember sz 4 being a size that they are at when they are not yet walkking, so its a waste of a size. if that makes sense.
If they are cute "just for show" shoes, then ok, but if they are heavy soled shoes for walking, Id get a bigger size, both my boys were bigger than a 4 by 1yr old.
I had 2 adorable pairs of sz 4 shoes that my boys never wore because I didnt want to put these "heavy" shoes on them if they werent walking, and the shoe would just be weighing down their foot.
so Id say maybe at 10-12m ? so its that in between time when they may or may not be walking, and if they are walking, theyre not adjusted to walking shoes just yet.

WALKING "big boy" shoes - BIGGER THAN SIZE 4.

sorry just realized you wrote sneakers. def return them, unless they are the soft soled slipper types that are cute for babies that are not fully walking.(10-12m) again this is approximate and what I can remember =)

When Christopher started walking at 10 months, we went to get him fitted for sneakers and we ended up getting a 4 double wide. He's now getting close to 13 months and he's up to a 5 wide.

Thank you so much ladies! I'm going to return them because they are big, sturdy sneakers and he will probably not be walking by the time he wears them.

My son will be 1 next week and he's in size 4 now. My 1st was in size 5 1/2 when he was 1.
