First Internal Exam Tomorrow
What should I expect? I'm really nervous that it's going to be extremely painful!

I just had one when I was getting the BH contractions, just to be sure my cervix was ok.
It is NOT that bad. It feels more intense than a gyn exam and I was more crampy afterwards. It was uncomfortable, but I was not in pain. The cramps go away after a half hour. Hope this helps & Good Luck!

I get mine next visit too. I had one or two in my first pregnancy and they were really uncomfortable, but over in a flash! I felt like he was reaching for my tonsils.

i had mine the other day. It wasnt to bad. Maybe uncomfortable for a few seconds, but it didnt hurt.

do they give you one b/c of BH? i've been having these, guess when i go to dr tomorrow i'll tell her ... wonder if i'll have to have internal b/c of it

mine were a little painful but its really over fast and its not like SEVERE pain, just a little more uncomfortable then you would like. But nothing you cant handle.

They told me that they wanted to do one to see if my cervix was closed. I was getting more than four BH contractions in an hour and they wanted to make sure I was not in pre-term labor.
