What is this?? Picture added
I went to put the garbage out and found this guy on my fence -- he won't move.... is it an opossum??

My Nephew caught one a few years back and hid it in his room for 2 days!
It wasn't nasty at all
But you never know with these types of animals!!!!!!!

They are the nasty slimest Animals ever!!! They look like they have Greasy hair. They have long skinny tails! If you see them dead, do not touch it because they play "possum"

omg! I'm petrified of these things because of that! Years ago me and my girlfriend saw one on the front lawn. We thought her dog had killed it. We slowly tip-toed up to it (still thinking the thing is most definately dead) and we put our face pretty damn close and all of a sudden this thing popped its head up with these huge red beady eyes and hissed  needless to say, we RAN!

YES! It's an opossum, we have them near me in NJ. Had one in my garbage can and one in my garage.
eta: Kara- they play dead, so i would just leave it.

There was one that used to hide in Danielle's bushes at her parents house - we saw it all the time at night.
Well one day in december - right before we moved. I had to pick it up with a shovel and put it in a garbage bag. He must of gotten hit by a car and died on our lawn....Ugly, heavy little sucka

I, uh,.........ran one over when I was cutting thru Eisenhower Park at nite. My friends were all drunk in the car and I couldnt stop or slow down as he Ran in front of my car. As we heard "thump, thump" we looked back to see him walk away!
Now I am known as the POSSOM KILLER!
I hate those things. they are gross!

Can you believe when I opened the back door an HOUR later, he was STILL sitting in the same spot on the fence??? Of course when DH got home a half hour after that he was gone -- glad I got pics. of the sucka.
Ewww they look nasty on the web sites. Hope he is gone forever!
