BTDT moms that BF...when can you have your first "drink"
I am SO looking forward to my mudslide or Bud Light....if I am going to bf....when can you actually have a drink?

My SIL drank beer. Her OB suggested it because the wheat germ would help her milk supply.

Well, I didn't have one for a few months actually since I was BF I was just paranoid. But then got over it, and had a couple. It's ok just don't over do it. You can have a drink right away. The amount the baby gets is very little if any at all.

you should wait until your milk supply is established, which is about 2-3 weeks after birth, then you can go with beer or wine, stay away from the hard liquor for the first few months.
