Re: Where to Stay - LONDON & PARIS

When we were in London in November, we stayed at the Harrington Hall Hotel in South Kensington. It was great because there was a tube stop just around the corner.

The first time I was there, I also stayed in South Kensington... but I'd have to look when I get home at the name of the hotel.

We were also supposed to go to Paris, but had to change our plans, however we were booked to stay at the Sofitel L'Parc, which looked like a really nice hotel.

In Paris we stayed at Le Meurice...it was sooooo beautiful!!!! It was a splurge!
We were upgraded to a suite as well.
Here's their website:

It's a block or two away from The Lourve, which was great, and had a lovely view of the Eiffel Tower.

In London there are lots of hotels in the Marble Arch area, its closeish to the West End and is a easy to get home to in a taxi after a night out.

In Paris, I love to stay in the 7th. Great restaurants, metro stations, the Eiffel Tower. Here is a link to the hotel we stay in. Nothing fancy it runs about 90Euro a night. But we don't spend much time in the room anyway. I love it because it is on a pedestrian street with lots of markets and cafes.

My Paris advice would be to stay somewhere near where you would go out at night...Paris is a nightmare to get in after dark, once the metro shuts down!
