Annoyed! friend related.........

I am so annoyed. Someone I was so close to thru HS , college and beyond totally blew me off for my bday, not a card, not a call. She was my MOH for my wedding 2 years ago. I take in her mail when she goes away, am there for her thru thick and thin and I do not hear a thing. I think she is very jealous becuase I am married, ( she is not) and have lost 48 pounds. I am so annoyed, but also, like a who cares atttitude, wait till she asks me to do somthing for her and I ignore her. What would you do????

Do you know if she is going through anything sad or tough in her life?

That happened to me once with one of my friends and while it was surprising because she usually remembers, I just let it go. She realized it a couple of months later and felt AWFUL about it but I down played it since it was in the past. You could mention something about your birthday to her so she can give you wishes and apologize for not calling on your bd so you can get past it.

It's not right, but sometimes things just escape your mind. Yesterday I was on the phone with my mother and after 5 minutes she was like "you could say happy birthday" - I totally forgot the date for a minute there -- she is even in NY for her birthday.

some people are just bad with dates and birthdays

I used to get upset by it too, but i find especially having a summer birthday - people are caught up with vacations and stuff - it happens.

I am sorry you are so upset, but hope you had a great birthday!

If you two are that close...i would just tell her how you feel

maybe start it out as a joke..."sooooo did you forget anything "

and take it from there
