I have a REALLY PERSONAL question... (TMI)

I'm so worried about it. I wasn't going to post this on here, it's more personal than I've ever gotten, but I don't really have anyone else to talk to about it.

We are holding off a little bit longer on TTC#2. But, I'm so worried that something might be wrong, and that we won't be able to TTC#2. Chat Icon

Well, when my DH and I are intimate, the last few times it's been hurting when he hits this one spot? It's when he's deep and towards my bottom, and it's like a sharp pain? I'm soooo scared it's something bad. It's not anywhere else just in that one spot. I think it's also a spot that I used to enjoy too! Chat Icon I know too much info. I just thought that maybe someone on here has been through this at some point. I've been reading online about it and it could be sooo many things. Not good of course. I made a doctor appt with my OB/GYN and it's not until Sept. 13.

Can anyone offer any help? Thank you so much!

First of all STOP reading things online, all that is going to do is scare you and make you think you have 100 different terminal illnesses!! Put the mouse down and leave the Internet alone, trust me...it won't help you feel better Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Second, it could be a few different things so Im glad you are going to see your doctor. I know Sept 13th feels far away but today is already Sept 1st so you will see the doctor in less than 2 weeks!!

I know I have pain during BDing because they suspect I have some endometriosis and also because I have cervical stenosis (tightening of the cervix). It could be that you have endo, or maybe not. It could be from having a baby, maybe that moved things around or have you lost or gained weight recently? That could have moved things...or constipation...anything like that?

Try to hold on until you see the doctor and stay off the Internet self diagnosis sites...and tell DH to be careful. I hope you feel better soon and I'm sure it's nothing to worry about! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

It could be quite a few things. It could be an ovarian cyst that has grown. Many people have ovarian cysts, but don't feel them since they are tiny, and end up dissolving. Sometimes ladies with endometriosis, have painful intercourse, because the endo is growing on an internal part that is being touched when you bd. You could also have a vaginal infection...like yeast, or a UTI. I would tell the the ob/gyn you are not comfortable and that you really want a sooner appt.

Re: I have a REALLY PERSONAL question... (TMI)

Thanks ladies! I know I drove myself nuts with the internet thing when I was PG with my son. I'm hoping it's nothing though!

I'm hoping it's not endo... I don't know much about it, but I know it's not good. Chat Icon

I have however lost almost 30lbs recently. I started on Weight Watchers in mid June sometime. This pain actually did start about 1-2 months ago. I wouldn't of let it go on without seeing a doctor, but my DH haven't really had time for intimacy so we've hardly done it. I just thought that maybe it was just a certain time of the month and I'll see how it goes next time. But then next time it still hurt. The time after that didn't which was weird, but then it did again.

We just actually might be able to start TTC#2 soon so it's just my luck that something could be wrong. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Thanks again!

Re: I have a REALLY PERSONAL question... (TMI)

Oh... another VERY PERSONAL and GROSS maybe symptom... but now that I think about it, it started the same time also? My urine has had a very STRONG scent to it. Gross I know. Also, about a month or so ago I had called the on call doctor on a weekend and told him that I thought I had a UTI. I remember what it was like when I was PG, and he said that he didn't think so, but if I wanted to come in I could the following week. The symptom that I had only lasted that night until early the next morning. I felt like I had to pee every few minutes but I had already gone. I still don't understand why he thought I didn't have a UTI, I thought I did, but I figured he knew better then me.

Anyway... who knows. I'm just hoping it's nothing. Thanks girls...

If your urine is stong smelling it could very well be a UTI. You may just need antibiotics and then you'll feel better Chat Icon Chat Icon

Kathy,
when did you find out you had Endometriosis? Did the GYN always tell you or when you were TTC?
The reason I am asking is because I have really painful BD all the time. Well, its painful in the begining but after a while the pain stops. The GYN told me that it was just that my uterus is lower than normal (which is why I always have to pee).
I am now worried that it may be more...
Is it something they look for only when you TTC? or did they tell you this before?

Thanks for your help!

I get ovarian cysts, and I always know I have one because it's very painful during intercourse. One ruptured during sex, and I had to go to the hospital. Just make sure you mention it to your Doctor :)

Re: I have a REALLY PERSONAL question... (TMI)

It could be one of a gigillion things. Keeping a log of exactly when in your cycle you're having or not having the pain might help. And what you're doing and where it hurts and if it moves anywhere might also help him/her.

Don't overthink it. Leave that to the doctor. That's why they get paid the big bucks.

Okay, here's a really personal question back: are you in pain in one position? or does it hurt the same when you try other positions?

Re: I have a REALLY PERSONAL question... (TMI)

It only hurts when he hits the one spot. So, when we do different positions (which isn't many... Chat Icon ) It doesn't always hurt. TMI... but I do not like doggie style because that always hurts because he can get deep. That's been like that for years and years. It's actually the same pain that I've been feeling. He has to be deep and hit the spot though for it to hurt. It's weird! I have lost a lot of weight lately... so maybe that has an affect?

Re: I have a REALLY PERSONAL question... (TMI)

This sounds like me. I have been having pain and itchiness ever since we've been 1. TTC and 2. off the pill. I went to a Dr. yesterday for 2nd time to get to the root of this. There is no UTI as far as he can tell from the dip stick and it I do not appear to have a YI, but now I am having a more official test at a lab. I kept making assumptions what this could be. The dr. actually said it could be a PH balance thing, but again he said do not assume and get an official test. I'll keep you posted. (and i posted something like this on LIF) Best Wishes.
