everywhere i turn pple are getting married
so one of my friends just got engaged, the one girl who we always said she would be single forever.. not to mention the one guy in our grp who swore off marriage just eloped this past decemeber... IF I HEAR ONE MORE TIME 'michelle i always thought ud be the first to get married' im going to smack someone

Aw,
I think you're at that age that people just start to kind of pair off (I'm at that age where they start to have babies!!! talk about scary!  )
Anyway, you're at a really good place right now - and look at how far you've come. Don't take any of what they say to heart, things will happen when they're right - everyone has to move through life at their own pace!

Michelle I'm right there with you. I've been with my BF for over 5 years and I keep getting the "so when are you going to get married already?" It's really annoying. It's not like I haven't thought about it too, but you can't rush these kinds of things. I'm working on having a healthy happy relationship and that is the best thing I can do for us now, to ensure and happy healthy forever.
But here are some hugs

I remember feeling that way especially when my younger brother got married six years ago and I wasn't even dating anyone! Its so frustrating and some days even makes you feel so alone.
Lately I feel this way about pregnant people Losing the baby was hard enough but now EVERYONE around me is pregnant- my SIL, my next-door neighbor, my friend at work, even LOST last night was a pregnancy theme!
IT DRIVES ME NUTS!

Sometimes I think people say things like this to re-affirm THEIR decision to get married, have a baby, whatever. I was the last of almost everyone I know my age to get married, so I got that from people too.
The people who really care about you are just happy for you when it happens, not pushing you to follow their life path. You'll know if and when the time is right

Unfortunately, this is just one of those things about life that will always happen.
People will ask, "when are you getting married." Then if you do "when will you have kids" "When will you have your next kid?" "When will buy a (bigger) house" "when will you send your kids to camp" "When will you retire in Florda"... it goes on and on.... People will always be nosey and ask personal questions. You just have to try and develop a thick skin to it.
Personally, I find these to be the rudest things someone can ask. As if it isn't sensitive enough, what if a couple is having a trouble in a relationship and aren't sure they want to get married? What if a couple is having trouble conceiving? Its just so nosey. You don't know what is going on in someone else's life. People need to think about that before they ask a potentially hurtful inquiry. JMO.
