Thanks for the responses ladies - I have been crazy the past two days and not on much!

Here's my question - is there some sort of advanced library search system to find a book by description if I don't know the name?

There is a children's book (picture book) that my brother and I LOVED growing up. I don't remember the title or author - I have tried to google some details, but doesn't work...

It's about a boy who has a dragon as a pet and the dragon keeps getting bigger and busts out of the house and the only other part we remember is that the dragon takes a whole truck full of Buttercup Bread

We had it when we were little, so figure it's from 1970's or 80's.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!!

Well, I've searched some picture book databases as well as looking at sites that have out of print books. it's really tough without title/author, but I'll do my best.

Thank you Donna!! I know it's a pretty impossible request, but I didn't know if you librarians had some awesome search capabilities that weren't available to us civilians! Thank you for trying!!
