going without the receipt Chat Icon

For 2 things, I was lucky and they're the same price now that they were for a few weeks before XMas.

For 1 thing, the wretched sales girl didn't tell me how low the item was until she placed 2 SINGLES in my hand. I walked out in shock. If she had told me "this is $2" I would not have returned it. It's on the store's website for $23Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Someone spent 2 bucks on you? Or do they have to give you the last sale price without a receipt??

Re: Spinoff to returning gifts...

I think $2 was the lowest selling price ever. I really don't think the gift-giver spent only $2 because last year, they gave us a small giftbasket from Bath and Body Works with candles and everything- after XMas last year, it was still approx $20.

Michal, I totally would have told her to forget it, but she had already taken away the item and handed me the cash with the receipt. Chat Icon

I was just so shocked that I left the store Chat Icon

Re: Spinoff to returning gifts...

Well, considering MIL told me that she bought everything on clearance, what's the point of bothering with a receipt?Chat Icon

I wouldn't dare ask for a receipt unless it was my mom or something like that. Chat Icon

Re: Spinoff to returning gifts...

MY FH offered the receipt and it helped since I exchanged mainly for size and got two other items which in turn got him money back.

If family asked, I offered the receipt regardless if they saw that I purchased on sale. I gave more than enough and cause stuff was on sale. Chat Icon

Depends on where u got return stuff too cause I went to Body shop w/some returns and I got $65 credit back! Everything was full price.
