Microsoft Money
Anyone here use it?
I just bought it at Staples today. Pretty cool program.
I started using Quicken Deluxe last month and it really helped me track my spending and help save more.
But there were some things with Quicken I wasn't thrilled about. It seemed too complex (lot of features I would never use).
So I went out and got Microsoft Money 2006 Standard. No frills... no muss... no fuss. Its pretty cool.
I love the fact that you can access your account and program from any computer with a web connection.

Re: Microsoft Money
I used it for work a couple of years ago and really enjoyed working with it back then

I have it. I like it, it keeps track of all my spending by category. Helps keep my budget in check.

Re: Microsoft Money
It came with my computer. I used it for a few days, but shut it down when it began popping up while I was shopping online and reminding me of my budget

It's like having parental controls on shopping.
I used Quicken years ago and it really helped.
DJPill you reminded me, I brought this up to DH the other night that we should start using this again.
Can anyone tell me any other reasons why one program is better than the other?
BTW: DH won't do on-line banking so that doesn't matter.

Whether he will do online banking or not... the program will try to connect online to download all your transactions.
If you don't do this... you will have to enter everything in manually. Not sure if you do it this way or not.
Money allows you to access your "money program" anywhere using the internet http://money.msn.com
I like it. Quicken was OK... but I had the deluxe version and it had way more features than I ever would use. This made it more complex.
I just got Money 2006 standard. Only has the basic stuff and thats the way I like it.
