Went to a great Greek restaurant in Astoria yesterday
Since it was restaurant week in Queens, my friends and I picked Ammos Estiatorio in Astoria (on Steinway Street - its next to the bar Central).
For $19.86, we got a salad, appetizer, entree, and dessert. Plus, before they brought the salad they brought out pita bread and little plates of grilled octupus (which I don't eat but everyone said was great). The food was so good (its Greek food by the way) and the place was really nice. I told DH thats our place for our next special occasion dinner.
BTW: Queens restaurant week is today and then Mon to Thurs of next week...all meals are $19.86.
Just thought I'd share.

ooohhh I'll have to check out some resturants next week...for that price you DEFINATELY can't go wrong...lots of great resturants in Asotria

Love,Love,Love this restaurant.
The owners,staff,food and service are wonderful!
Last year my husband & I threw a huge party there, people are still talking about it. We've also spent New Years Eve there,again- wonderful and we're not even Greek!
BTW: restaurant & club (Central) are really one- same owner.

I just did a search for Queens Restaurant week and it directed me to a list.
I think there is a listing in the Daily News too.
