Big Day Tomorrow...
I start my new job and Gracie starts day care. Ok ladies, please tell me she will be ok in day care. I'm having a hard time with this. It is only for 3 days a week, but I am going to miss her sweet face and her smiles. I keep thinking...what if she walks at day care first? or says her first word at day care? I am really having a hard time with this.
Can anyone offer any advice? I know people say it gets better and that the first day is the hardest. IS this REALLY true? I don't feel like it will get better.

It does get easier!!!!!!!!! The best advice I was given was to tell daycare or whoever is watching you child not to tell you when they do new things. IE: walk, talk, etc. They should let you see it on your own and think it is the first time

Thanks! I will tell them NOT to tell me. I hate feeling like the day care will see everything first, ya know?

I plan to do this too. I also made a photo album for work so I can look at him whenever I want to. I have no advice, I go back on Thursday, but I hear that it gets easier. Good luck!!

It does get better. Have faith that your daughter will want to show off for just you and she will do all her first at home for you, just like my daughter did for me!

My babysitter doesn't tell me if she has reached a milestone that I haven't seen yet. She told us she'd keep it that way before we ever even started using her to reassure me.
It will be hard tomorrow, I won't tell you differently. But you'll also learn to appreciate your time out of the house and with adults. Plus it'll make your time with her that much more enjoyable, because you'll make every minute count!
