for those of you who are high risk...
at which week did your doctor make you have weekly appts? i currently go every other week (am 24 weeks 4 days). but, i have a feeling i am moving up to once a week SOON (since my regular OB said they might put me in the hospital this week to monitor my diabetes- which has been terrible lately. i was just curious how often everyone else goes..... heading to the high risk doctor this afternoon so i'm leaving work at 1:30- theres one positive!! happy friday to all!

I wasn't in the high risk category at the beginning, but when I was in the hospital for pre term labor at 25 weeks, I am now considered a high risk patient.
My weekly appts started at that time and I have to do non stress tests since then at every weekly appt.

I am high risk and I am 32 weeks. I have not started weekly appts yet. I guess because the baby is not at risk. I am high risk because of my own health condition, which has not been an issue so far THANK GOD. I think that makes a difference, even though my pregnancy is classified as "high risk".

I was high risk and was going to the Dr 2x a week from week 25 on. I had pregnancy induced Hypertension and GD and they just waited for the signs of Preeclampsia which showed up at week 36 . I gace birth at 36 weeka and 6 days . I was induced and delivered a 6lb 14 oz girl.. GD gives you a larger size baby.. good luck

Have they tried to control your GD with insulin?
