Info. about returning Shower Gifts at BRU

I only had a few things to return at BRU that were duplicates. So I wanted to confirm with the customer service women that I would be receiving full price for these items since they were on my registry.

She told me NO. That I needed my receipts to guarantee that. ( NO one at my shower included the receipts) She mentioned that I would be getting the price listed at that very moment whether or not it was on sale. NOt even the price on my registry. Can you believe it?

So my tip is try to return things right after your shower so the items do not go on sale and you lose out. It is Ashame.

I think this is the case with any store.
Everyone bought gifts for my shower and everyone used coupons, so I expected that would happen to me.
Quite honestly - they don't have many sales - so I am not sure about the price changes, it might be a price if they used a coupon though

I actually never heard of a store giving you full price for an item without a receipt if it is currently on sale. I worked in retail for 2 years and that was our policy, what ever the current price was. The great thing about babies r us is though that even if it was purchased at lets say Target or Buy Buy Baby and they carry the item they will still take it back and you can always use the credit towards necessities when your baby comes.
