ipod owners...
Ok...so I'm new to this whole ipod thing. I have the ipod nano and it is the 2GB, so it holds close to 500 songs. I have more than that on my computer....but when I connect it, it just seems to start downloading from the library...which has more than the 500 and then stops when it gets full. I see you can create a playlist, but how do I ensure that it only downloads the playlist and not the library? Thanks much.

Re: ipod owners...
You go through your library and check off the box for the ones you want on your ipod. You then have to change your preferences to download only the songs for the boxes you have checked.
Also, If your ipod is supposed to hold 500 songs, it may actually end up holding less then that. My Mini is supposed to hold 1000 songs, but it actually holds about 600 b/c the length of them is longer than a normal song (I have alot of remixes on mine)

Yeah - what she said!!! Playlists are generated from your library - the iPod is not going to just download your playlist and not your library. Like the other poster said, make sure to go through your library and uncheck any of the songs that you don't want going on the iPod.
