Anyone know what the going rate for a Babysitter would be?
My cousin is looking for a babysitter to help out with her kids, but doesn't know what the going rate is. Thanks.

About 6 years ago, I got $8 per hour. But I think it depends whether they want a professional sitter or a young, responsible person looking for extra cash.

I think it depends how many hours, how old the person is, is it a steady job or just every now and then, etc. I would say that if it is a teenager just doing it every now and then, 8 dollars an hour is fine, but if it's a college student helping out regularly, maybe 10 an hour.
