Ditto...but, as with everything in life, there are always one or two who will turn a difference of opinion into a personal attack.

Me too. But I have to say there is a time & place, just like anything else.

ETA: I will change that and say that I like intelligent debates/conversations. What I do not like is when someone gets "preachy" or says things like.."how can you believe that...blah blah blah...." then it is no longer an intelligent conversation, but rather a p&*^&%*ng matchChat Icon

I don't think so, but it seems that these debates can turn emotional and personal fairly quickly (both on here and in real life.....)

They tend to get hostile when someone is trying to change someone else's mind or opinion or resort to name calling.

I do avoid religion convos, though.

I've started a couple of threads (re: today, the supreme court ruling against Bush and the outcomes of some senate outcomes/supreme court rulings) - they don't always get a response but I post them anyway.

I may not always respond to them, but I like reading those posts. Chat Icon

I love a good debate so long as people discuss the issues and don't resort to name calling. I don't see any problem with political posts.
