christening question-outfit for DH

We are baptising my son in June. We are having a small party afterwards at my apt. I planned on having my DH wear a blue blazer/tan pants/shirt/tie. Should he be wearing a suit? what did your DH's wear???

Mine doesn't own a blazer so he wore a suit but took the jacket and tie off at the party.

Nope, but everyone knows we are super laid back and I really don't care about that stuff. Most men wore kakhis and polo shirts, FIL wore black jeans.

Dh wore a suit, but I wouldn't think anything of seeing a dad in a sports jacket, button down & slacks

Re: christening question-outfit for DH

My DH doesn't own a suit, so most likely he'll wear dress pants and a shirt and tie, probably charcoal grey dress pants, blue shirt and a nice tie or something along those lines.

My DH wore a Suit. It just seemed right, being it was in church and a holly sacrament our DS was receiving.
