Has anyone noticed the signs about how much it costs
to pick-up garbage? 1.2 million!!!! What a waste of $$$ on something that can be so easily prevented!
This is one of my biggest pet peeves in the garbage on the side of the roads.
Do you think the signs are helping?

DH and I were wondering what that stat covers. The whole state? Just Nassau Cty? I think it's a rediculous amount of money, we were thinking imagine if that's per county how much state tax money is spent on that each year?

It's the signs that are on the side of the roads that inform you about traffic or it's slippery. They can change the wording of the signs.
It makes me so mad about the garbage on the side of the roads, the 7/11 cups, the cigarette butts, the water bottles etc... I don't understand people sometimes!!!!

I hear ya!  Seriously, why not just keep that cup til you get wherever you're going and throw it in a garbage? People treat our surroundings like they're worthless...That our communities really are just trash...

Trash all over...And kids just leave wrappers on chairs in our office too! But at least ours doesn't smell as bad as your area.  There should be signs saying, "Don't pollute the air...SHOWER DAILY!"
