Lamaze class - so annoyed
Well...not about the class - about the fact that the woman took my $$, sent me a form telling me the first class was 6/21 at 7:30. DH and I rush like lunatics to get home from work and find our way to this woman's house. Ring doorbell...no answer. Just as we are ready to leave the daughter comes out and says "oh my mother is out to dinner with my father...I think class starts next week". I'm furious right now - besides the inconvenience it's the lack of consideration. Plus the pg hormones are roaring so let's just say this woman is going to get an earful. It totally turned me off and now I have no intention of going to this woman. I want my $$ back and now I have to find someone else ( I signed up 5/1 for this class to be sure I had plenty of time). Plus I really wanted to do it at Huntington Hospital which is where I will be delivering.

I'm sorry. You sould definately demand your money back. Especially since now you will never feel comfortable around her because this will be in the back of your head.

Yes, you should get your money back. Sorry you had to go through that. Could you please FM me the name of the person. My doctor had suggested a few people and I want to make sure she's not one of the them. Thanks.

I hope this is not the same person i am going to next week...i am starting on 6/28 and she was one of the people that my dr suggested. is her home near walt whitman mall?? (please say no)

actually it is. and when i spoke to her today she actually gave me an attitude (I called the dr. last night that recommended her and it got back to her). she said that people make mistakes and that she was disappointed that i got so upset over tihs.
not for anything but DH and I are in the middle of moving, he just started a new job in which he has to go to school for and we juggled a bunch of things around to go to this. i could really do without the attitude.
do you girls think i overreacted?

First some because I wish you weren't going through this. And I know it's hard but try not to get too upset. This is not good for the baby.
And I absolutely believe that you did not overreacted. It's true people make mistakes but you'd think that if she's providing these classes, she'd keep a log for those appointments she had booked. And if she couldn't make it, at least to have the courtesy of cancelling and rescheduling. It's the least she could have done since people live busy lives.
