Re: NYC TEACHERS...What are your daily routines?
I'm not a city teacher, but morning work (like daily edit, journal, etc) , morning meeting, lunch count - that's all I can think of now.

Re: NYC TEACHERS...What are your daily routines?
I'm teaching 5th grade this year, so my routines are going to change a bit....but in the morning, I have the kids unpack, turn in homework, copy the new homework, choose books from the library, come to the carpet and respond to the question of the day (or edit a sentence).

Re: NYC TEACHERS...What are your daily routines?
I teach NYC and there are certain morning routines that you HAVE to do as part of the math program.
Mine goes as follows: Class Jobs & Monitors Calandar Weather Temperature Growing Number Line Attendance
There are certain things that you also do by grade -- I teach 1st grade.
I think I posted pics of my meeting area on Saturday -- you can kinda see the stuff on it -- but please FM me if you have any questions about it!

Re: NYC TEACHERS...What are your daily routines?
Okay, here goes... enter the room drop off lunch hang up coat empty backpack (they put backpacks on backs of chairs to alleviate packing up issues) notes go in my notebasket they copy homework they start indepenet reading I check h/w, take attendance and go through notes
we go over the day, the date, how many days we've been in school, how to show that number in money form, the weather, a pattern thing I do, etc.
Then I start math.
