TMI-warning

OK for the last couple of days my discharge has increased so much that it is making me both sick and nervous. It seems a lot more watery than ever before. Has anyone experienced this? I want to call my doctors office but the receptionists get so nasty when I call. I was there a lot in the beginning of my pregnancy for problems and I feel that they hold this against me.

Re: TMI-warning

are you in your 2nd trimester? discharge does increase then. are you leaking urine possibly? someone else posted that awhile ago....she was leaking so much and after a bunch of tests, the Dr said she was leaking urine!!

I was having increased discharge about a week or 2 ago to the point I had to change or wear a pantiliner, but it has since stopped.

Re: TMI-warning

Increased discharge (sometimes even significant increases) are normal during pregnancy, especially as it progresses. But, leaking fluid is always something that you need to discuss with your ob/gyn ASAP, just in case it turns out to be amniotic fluid. Don't be embarrased to call, even if the receptionist is nasty... this is why you're paying for healthcare. You really should put in a call to your Dr. ASAP.

I agree with Beth...and if you are having a consistent issue with the receptionist, tell the dr or office manager. That's bad business!!

Call right away and let us know how you're doing!

Re: TMI-warning

How can you tell if it is fluid that is leaking?

Re: TMI-warning

You can't, unless you go to the Dr. At the office they can do a simple litmus test to determine if it's amniotic fluid. So, it's really important you go to the Dr. so they can check.

I agree! If that was how my office acted whenever I had a question (and I have had many since I've been going there- pill questions, TTC questions, and yesterday morning sickness questions) I would find another office. I hope your Dr. is more professional than that receptionist!! Chat Icon This is your body and your baby. You have the right to ask any qusstion that you have!

Chat Icon Good luck! Sorry I had no advice on the discharge! I'm not that far along to have any expierence with that!

Re: TMI-warning

Thanks girls, I called and am on my way now. The receptionist that I talked to today is my favorite. I know when I get there I will hear the "you are back again" comments or "you are going to have to start paying rent here" comments. I have heard them before. Will keep you all posted!

Re: TMI-warning

Thanks girls. I went to the doctor and it is just normal pregnancy discharge. I was very relieved and he even did a sono to check my fluid levels, so I got to see my little turkey! Although he/she is not very cooperative!
