Mom's of babies who use Enfamil A.R.

Do you notice your children spit up less? DS has been on it for 4 weeks now and he still spits up at almost every feeding...

I noticed a difference right away. I also switched bottles to dr. brown's and when I warm it up I take the cap off. He still spits up but not nearly as much as he use to. I also let him sit for about 5 minutes before I try to burp him.

Thanks.. I think I thought it was a miracle formula and he would stop spitting up completely...

I tried it and did not find that it helped. I decided to try it since my ped told me to add rice to her bottles to make it thicker. I liked that this formula had the starch & thickness without the extra calories.

Nothing was really helping DD so I brought her to the ped again today and they told me to add MORE rice to the bottles. So instead of adding 1tsp per 2oz now I have to add 1tbsp per 2 oz. It is like sludge in there -- and she STILL spit up!!! We'll see how it goes in the next few days.

I don't think that he will stop spitting up but the quanity is definitly less. I will add that if I don't let him sit for a few minutes afterwards its like a milky waterfall coming out of his mouth and landing in my shirt.

No I didn't.. Bri accidentally put three scoops into an 8oz bottle and THATS what worked.. It was the perfect consistency that she didnt throw it back up and it was solid enough she kept it down. Try it that way before you panic. I recommended that to another mom on another parenting board I frequent, and it worked for them too.. Good Luck!

We just started using this last week- I DEFINITELY notice a difference. He was spitting up like CRAZY, and now, hardly at all. I am so happy with it.
