Thank God for the video monitor
Last night a little after midnight I heard John babbling in his crib I lifted my head to see the monitor, he had one leg over the side!! I raced down the hallway and he was almost completly over the rail!!!!! We had just lowered the mattress 3 weeks ago loks like we are gonna do it again and remove the bumpers. I made him sleep with me last night I was petrified to put him back in. I'm so glad we had that monitor

Oh wow, I'm glad you saw him in action before he hurt himself! That is scary.
We've lowered the crib mattress all the way to the toddler bed level. It's hard for me to put him down in there when he's alseep, but it's worth it so he can't climb out.

OMG, that's scary, he's a little escape artist  Good thing you had that monitor! I'm soooo glad that I have mine (I got ours at BJs and it was only like $80, Definately worth the $)

Hi, although I never had a climber until sammy was over 2 Iknow how you feel. If you dont want to get rid of the bumbers right away they sell a netted tent that goes over the crib. It is meant for the little climbers. My SIL used it for my nephew adn loved it. I believe they sell it at Buy Buy Baby among other places.
