CRAP! I need iPod help!!!
I had iTunes on my old laptop with all of my songs, so just now I plugged in my iPod to my NEW laptop, where I'd downloaded just a few songs. It asked me if I wanted to replace the old library with the new library, and I understood it backwards and hit yes! So now my 170+ songs have been replaced with 5!!!  
Can I get all my old songs back on the iPod somehow? I don't have the old laptop anymore

I don't think you can get your songs back without accessing your old laptop. Sorry, that totally sucks.

UGH! I'm such an idiot!!!
What happened was, I had copied a bunch of songs from CDs onto my old laptop and also downloaded some songs from iTunes. So now I have the new laptop (old laptop is gone) and I replaced all of the songs on the iPod with what's in my Library now (which is only 5 songs!!!)
P.S. Bama is going to go through the window one day, trying to get that darn squirrel!

I'd check on apple.com just in case there's some way to retreive them from the great beyond!

That happened to me (I think their wording is confusing -- and I just hit yes by accident). I had to re-download everything!

I just got off the phone with iPod support, and basically that's what I'm going to have to do
I erased everything!!! That's what I get for reading too fast
