How do you meet new girl friends?
My SIL who is 25 has really grown apart from her friends from h.s., and works in a company where she is by far the youngest person. Her one friend that she is closest with is her ex-bf's best friend's wife. All she does is hang out with her mom at home or me and DH. She needs to get out and meet people, but I don't know what to tell her.

where does she live? I have the same problem. i dont talk to any1 that i used to and im stuck in the gap..not quite married with kids, but not single and hanging at the bars.. i suggest join a club or something, i used to go to bowling on friday nites and that was really fun, or tell her to check out quarterlifecrisis.com message boards..its filled with 20somethings trying to find there way int he world so to speak and they do a lot of grp outtings to meet pple :)

I usually make new girl friends through:
- sites like this
- gym
- work
Considering she can't do the work thing, I would recm'd her narrowing in on her interests, and meeting people based on that - joining a book club, cooking classes, etc.
