E. Northport/Northport House $479k - nice
Just wanted to share. DH and I went to look at this hosue this weekend because its in my old neighborhood.
It's basically an estate sale (the former owner is in a home). The church is selling it (???not sure why) for them and they updated the kitchen and both bathrooms. Entire house is repainted and entire house is all newly refinished hard wood floors.
Basement wasnt updated but its half shop and half rec room with laundry room.
Back yard has a small in ground pool and small patio - and a hill behind it - not the best but personally I would fill in the pool and try to level out the yard.
Nice area, SD#4, 2 minute drive to the LIRR. I believe the owners were the one and only owners.

We looked at this house this weekend - they held an OH. It's actually listed at $489,900...
The floors were nice. Definitely agree with you on the pool - it takes up the entire backyard. The house is updated - it's missing the fridge and dishwasher.
This house is right around the corner and also an estate sale. It's listed at $479k and - imo - the better deal. Unless you like the updates they did on the first home...but in our case, we didn't and don't like the idea of paying for someone else's mediocre (imo) updates.

Oh we saw this house too. The bathrooms and kitchens need to be updated - big time. Unless you like lime green and yello bathroom tile
One thing that I couldnt get past though was the smell. Obviously the previous owners were smokers - the house stinks like stale smoke in every room!
But the dormers upstairs are really nice and so is the 1.5 car garage and full open basement!
