Friends coming back

There have been a few posts lately about people who used to be friends but then through one thing or another are no longer close. I thought it was just something that happens every now & again, but lately it seems that all of my old friends are coming back somehow. And DH & I had a very very large group of friends. It is weird b/c at least one a week now has come back into contact with us.

Since there were other posts about this..is this happening in a big way for others too?

I posted about this a while back, and meant to update but didn't. I wrote e-mailed a friend I'd blown off. But she never wrote back. BUT I am still glad I did it. I needed to get it off my chest and since we work for the same school district there is a good chance our paths will cross again.

It's been happening for us as well.

Last year DH had two phone calls from friends he rarely spoke to (you know how guys can be). Turns out both of them were having pretty serious marital issues. When DH had martial issues everybody dropped off the face of the Earth but since then they need him because he is the first one they could call and the only one who they feel they can trust and will understand. I just think DH was going through it "ahead of the curve" so to speak and unfortunately, now, there are other couples that are catching up.

I know I have been at a crossroads with a few of my friends for a long time. It's hard when you are early 30's and everyone else has been married with kids for several years. It's not as if I go out partying anymore, it's just that many of them can't get together due to hectic schedules.

Right now I'm on the outs with my BF. I don't think she knows it but she is really dropping the ball on this friendship. That's a long story for another post.

Yeah I thought I was not the only one. It is weird cuz with each person I talk to I tell them about the others I have spoken to recently as well. They are now talking about GTG, but I am not sure. Life is so different now, and I loved my friends but I am really REALLY different (and so is DH) since we got the house & all. I dunno, maybe a HH couldn't hurt

i had a few friends that before keith past i no longer talked to for one reason or another, now they are all litterally popping out of the wood work and some, i hate to say, i wish would have stayed in the wood work
