70's spinoff and shameless sibling plug: My sister used to be on sesame street!
Yep. And I used to go to the set but my heart was broken when I learned that Big Bird was not truly a bird, but rather a large African-American man. LOL.
My aunt used to work for Jim Henson productions. Nepotism, babies. So, my sister, being a beautiful little girl who walked with crutches was really appealing to them. She did one season. We have tapes with outakes. It's hilarious. One time, she messes up the alphabet because she "claims" standing next to the deaf woman (I think it was Linda) confused her. Oh, and one time big bird pushed her too hard on the swing during a take and she fell off. She didn't get hurt, it's just freaken funny!
They didn't want me. *sigh*.....

I used to get upset that they never said my name during the magic mirror during Romper Room. If I had a sibling on Sesame St. I think it might have pushed me over the edge. 
Any pics you can post of your sister?

I don't have any from Sesame! Sorry! She was so cute...super long pigtails, 70s style bell bottoms! She was born in 74....she was pretty young!

i hear ya they NEVER called my name on Romper Room! It was FIXED!!!
that must have been so call. Although you now ruined MY image of big bird.. and I watch SS sometimes if my niece is watching it....

i hear ya they NEVER called my name on Romper Room! It was FIXED!!!

LOL.. Me too... I sat with abated breath every day for them to call my name on MAGIC GARDEN..... and they NEVER DID!!!!

They never called my name either
and they seemed to call my sister's name either freakin episode!!!!!!!

OOOHHHHH........loved the magic garden too. Does anyone remember Joya's Fun School? She was only on 1 day a week; the M.G. was on the other 4 days.
I sent a picture to Romper Room and got a Doo-Bee card mailed to me. Mom threw it out!!!  Who knows?? It might've been worth something on e-bay.
