silly question re corn on the cob - help!
how long are you supposed to boil it for? does it matter how many pieces you are boiling?
I actually looked this up on the internet and most people said 1-3 minutes - that seems way to short, I swear my mom used to boil it at least 1/2 hour
any ideas? TIA

I just put them in the pot, bring the water to a boil. Let them boil for like 5 minutes and then just turn off the burner and let them sit in the hot water throughout dinner.

I usually stick whole cobs in a pot of cold water then put it on the stove and bring it to a boil.By the time it boils it's usually ready..
