Just got back from my 40 week appointment..
I am the exact same as last week (2cm, 100% effaced).
I am being scheduled to be induced for next monday or tuesday if I don't go on my own before then.
My doctor looked at me and goes "start having as much sex as you can tolerate" and i started turning red, lol. I'm such a 5 year old sometimes!!! He said the chemical in sperm is the same as what is in cervidal which is used to start dilation. I told him if i didn't feel like this baby was about to start waving at me from in there i'd consider it!!
I am disappointed...thought more would have happened BUT baby is healthy and i'm healthy so its all ok. Whats one more week, right???

I'm hoping you go into labor on your own this week !! 
(I would have  at the sex comments too..  .. )
Maybe try some spicy food too..

If you want to avoid a hospital induction try nipple stimulation, walking, or like your doc said, sex. This may be TMI, but for nipple stimulation you can roll your nipple in between your fingers (or your DH's  ) for 2 minutes. Do 2 minutes for each, 3 minutes of rest. COntinue until you're having contraction at least 5 minutes apart for 60-90 seconds. This is one of the easiest ways to naturall induce labor.

Go for some Indian food...a Chicken Passanda is supposed to make you go into labor quickly!
