Price check- what do you guys think?
My SIL referred me to a woman who custom makes couchs. I just had her design one for our room and basically its 110 by 80 L shaped to fit the room plus making a matching slipcover for an extra large(2person) lounge chair that we already own. She wants 1750 for everything and the sofa is down wrapped with the backs full down.
Is this a good price? TIA

Have you researched non Custom couches that fit almost the same criteria??
We recently purchased living room furniture but nothing similar to even give you a comparision.
How is her quality?

Is she in CA or NY? can you share the info? I need to get my MIL a sectional but need a specific size, material, etc. and haven't been able to find it.
I don't think that is a bad price at all!!!

did you say it's made from down? I LOVE down but I remember seeing something on HGTV once and how it doesn't hold up that well. (it sags bigtime)
ETA: regarding couches, not bedding.

i have to agree with several others...sounds like a great price. I just bought a medium sized sectional, oversized seats,: chaise lounge, and sofa set, and it was $2,500.
Especially since the work is custom, I think the price sounds great.

Ask her if it is 8-way hand tied...That will make a big difference in the quality and the longevity of it. If it's not, I don't think it's a good buy.

That price doesn't sound too bad for a custom made piece and cover.
Just a piece of advice. Make sure you take careful measurements of your doorways and how much room you have to get the piece into and out of your house. If it is custom made, you want to make sure it is going to fit up the stairway, around the corners, etc.
