Question about single friends

Please try to answer all - I am curious how to handle situations of him inviting his single friends to stay over and me inviting my single friends to say over..

Does your sig. other have single friends?

Does he/she invite them over the house to stay over?

Would you be mad if your dh/dw invited someone to stay over that was their friend?

Does he/she expect you to be home and hang out with this said friend or do you go out and do your own thing?

DH does have single friends.

Yes, he does invite them over at times.

Actually, so far he invited over his best friend who is single to stay over like twice. I did not get mad because his best friend is very nice and respectable. I did not mind.

I would not say that DH expects me to be home because he is not like too demanding. The first time I hang out with him and his friend and the second time some of my friends went out with DH and his friend. It was fun it wasn't as bad as I think it would be.

We both have single friends. Our single friends do come over, but they usually do not spend the night. I had a friend come from out of town and stay with us for a few days but that was it. Usually if he has his friends over I will hang out with them or vice versa, but not always. Sometimes we will go out and do our own thing.

Most of his friends live close by so there is no reason for them to stay. He did have 2 of his friends stay over the night of his bachelor party

No I would not get mad as long as nothing else was planned for that day/weekend. I don't mind having guests in our home.


Does he/she expect you to be home and hang out with this said friend or do you go out and do your own thing?
He would not expect me to stay home. Chances are, I would be home some of the time but I would probably go out & do my own thing for some time

Not very often- they are in NYC.

No, I just ask for some advance notice so we can tidy up, and so it doesn't clash with any of our plans.

i'm not expected to be home to entertain the friend. If I see them, great. If not, no big deal.

No, if he plans to be there to help me entertain, which answers the last question

He probably would expect to to stay home and hang out unless i already had made plans

* I don't think there are any expectations -- it would depend how long they are staying. The longer the stay, the less I probably need to be around.

No I wouldnt care. My friends stay over at times also.

Nope, he doesnt expect me to stay. If I have stuff to do I'll go do them, otherwise, I'll just hang w/ them........order food, etc.

One crashed on the couch after then went out

No I wouldnt care. My friends stay over at times also.-

he doesn't expect me to do anything-

if he invited someone over it would be to go to the beach or go out- since we live in an apartment

They somtimes come over but never sleep over. All of them live close by. Actually, one of DH's friends spent a few days at our house after he announced he was divorcing his wife. This friend now has keys to our house.

No he doesn't expect this. Sometimes I stay and and out. Otherwise I try to make plans with my friends.

He hasn't invited anyone to stay over. I've invited friends to stay over b/c we live in CT and my friends live in NY. It's easier to stay over than drive back late at night or take a train back. DH doesn't mind when they visit (which is very rare).

I wouldn't mind as long as he told me a few days in advance. I'm not the neatest person and would want some time to make sure everything is clean.

Yes DH has single friends
No he doesnt invite them to stay over the house unless we are out and they cant drive, but that hasnt happened since we've been married.
I wouldnt be mad unless he didnt speak to me about it first.
Cant answer, cause never happened.

However, I can say that my single sister stays over all the time... but I dont know if that counts?

I would find it weird. I mean if they were over hanging out and had to much to drink, I wouldnt mind them sleeping here, but just for the hell of it, no!

I'm home if DH's friends stop by, I have come home a few times when his friend here but they weren't hanging out it was just to drop something off my DH lent him,(Tools or his bike.)

No, but he doesn't have a lot (if any) friends. He has 4 brothers...those are hs best friends. 3 of them are single, but they live in NY.

He doesn't like people sleeping over. But his brothers have slept over because I invited them.

Why do these friends have to sleep over?
