Car shopping - I am so confused.

My lease is up in two months - now I have a jeep grand cherokee - but I decided to go for a car this time around - save some money on gas.

I am so confused - I really don't know what I want.
We have seen the accord, altima, tsx (acura), and we still need to see the volvo's, infiniti's and audi's.

We need to get leather seats (With a baby on the way) and have enough room for baby stuff in the trunk. But when going to leather - it makes a lot of the "Affordable" cars closer in price to the more luxury cars. So do we splurge the extra $50 a month and get a higher end car?

Does ANYONE have any words of advice? Can you suggest a car that I shoud look at that I didn't mention - or stay away from one I did?

I am so confused as to what I want/need!

Having said my choice in cars my mom had a 1997 altima she leased. That was her favorite car. She had a 2000 Honda accord and now she has a mercedes and while she loves her mercedes she still says she loved her Altima and would get another one! Altima is a great car you can't go wrong with it!

Good Luck.

What about a new Ford Five Hundred. It's very affordable and it's got a lot for the money. The backseat is very large (my husband said it was comfortable and he's a big guy) and the trunk is huge. I really like it and have been debating this car.

The luxury cars come standard with all of these options where the affordable cars make you add these options which makes them not so affordable anymore. Usually to just add leather you need to up your package and then it will come with say a moon roof, which you may not have actually wanted in the first place. If you can swing the extra 50 I would do it but you never know with Memorial day coming up a lot of places are going to have sales so you may be able to get an "affordable" car with leather and it will still be affordable. Does that make sence?

I have to say, I love the accord. It's a gas saver, and it's hugs the road. And it's a very safe car! Good luck!

Ya My mother had her accord (2000) she had lots of problems with it. She turned out to hate the car because she had problems wich was such a shame cause it was a beautiful car! BUT I had no problems driving it Chat Icon Loved that car!

Toyota Higlander just came out with a "Hybrid/Electric" model. It gets 32 MPG & Dh drove it yesterday & it hauls azz!

He has a few at his dealership, and he said they are selling like crazy....they can barely get them off the truk & they are sold!

The Toyota Camry is an AMAZING car and I can only imagine it with leather. They also have the Solara, but I think that is 2 door.

The trunk is HUGE....I think you could fit 3 adults in there. It's quite luxurious too and a great deal for the money

What about the VW Jetta? They just remodeled it and it has more room and comes with options you usually have to add on.

My MIL has a Volvo S40, and its very expensive to fix.

Have you thought about the new Ford 500? Saw one yesterday, very nice. Its a mid-size, I think it replaces the Taurus?
