Did anyone call in sick from work
with menstral pains, and really have them so bad they couldn't work?

I never did...
But My secretary has a few times...
she gets them so bad a few times a year that she can't even sit up.

I have. Before I was on BC, the pain would be so bad that I couldn't even stand or sit up straight.

yes i did one time...but then I felt really guilty when the cramps went away about 3 hrs later...so I went out and bought a pair of shoes to help me feel better.

I never did because I know as bad as it is it will subside even a little in a few hours and then I will feel guilty. Although the last time I got my period I was in the most severe pain ever, I am thankful it was a Sunday. I dont know what I would have done if it were a weekday.

No, but I have considered it on occasion. When I was teaching, I had a student that missed a day of school one day a month. She was a straight A student and always made up the work, but told me the pain was so bad for her, that she could barely get out of bed.

Me too. I actually passed out several times from the heavy bleeding coupled with the cramps. BC has helped me so much.

yes, i have...
a few times i had it so bad i couldnt get out of bed without being dizzy and bent over from the pain....couldn't work at all...

I work from home so that excuse would never fly......But I never get cramps anyway 
In HS a co-worker (manager at McDonald's) used to be out 1 day every month so we always knew when Marie was OTR.

I never did, however, was up all night with pain worse then the "monthly' cramps and thats why I am home today.
I was hurting so bad and it went to my back. I cannot get comfy at all!

Thanks I was wondering. I never have- my worst cramps always went away with 2 Advil. But my secretary has a few times and I was trying to figure out if it was a real issue or if it was BS. THanks!

No. I used to get them pretty bad when I was a teenager but not since then.
I used to have to leave school because my cramps were so bad. They would actually cause me to vomit and I would get migranes. Hasn't been that way in about 15 years though.
