for those that love gardening-pics of my greenhouse
its not done yet-DH is still out there working on it. It is a trash to treasure project. So far we spent about $75 total & we don't have anything left to buy.
The lumber came from Lowes cull cart -$20
the 6 andersen windows were going in the garbage from a house my DH worked on-free
the sliding glass door for the roof glass was in the same house-free
the rocks for the base/floor from craigslist-free
the plywood we had laying around-free
the roof shingles & vents $30
the cedar shingles for the walls $30
paint & nails we had around-free
Please excuse the area around it, this is our storage part of the yard that needs to get organized.
at the start
Today-I'm painting the door barn red
Can't wait to start my seeds this week. Just thought I'd share for those that love to garden, sometimes you can be creative & build something good!

 OMG Kelly it looks awesome!!! I can't believe you guys built that....all so cheaply too!
Did you have to do a ton of research beforehand on what is needed in a greenhouse? I like to garden now that I have a yard but I'm still pretty clueless as far as growing from seeds

thanks! Teri last year I had a small portable greenhouse (they sell them everywhere for about $30) & I started four flats in there. The die hard greenhouse people wouldn't approve of my new one because it doesn't face south. For me I'm more into having a cool garden structure & being able to start seeds than be hard core. I researched a bit about ventilation & stuff, then inventoried all of Sanford's (aka Rich)stuff & came up with this. All of the windows can open both sashes so it should work out great. I'll post more pics when its complete.

they'll move out just in time for baby to move in

That looks great!
It's funny cause DH and I were taking a walk yesterday since it was so nice out and we saw your DH out there working on it when we passed your house and I said - "Scott, look, that must be Kelly's husband". We really weren't being creepy stalkers though, honestly!! It was just too nice a day out to waste.
