I think he's a bit of a jerk since he missed the deadline. I would have opted for the more flies with honey. From my complainer boss, I've seen him get more discounts & freebies than anyone I know. Squeaky wheel gets the grease.

Im usually quite the squeaky wheel myself
Actually most big hotel chains/big companies should just give a customer a break at a time like that, theyre not going to go bankrupt if they make one customer happy (gain or lose one customer for life in most cases)... stupid decision on the part of the hotel if you ask me...
