1st Birthday--Party themes???

If you are having or had a party for your son/daughter's 1st birthday--are you doing a specific theme? if so what was it/will it be?

My son will be turning 1 in June (Chat Icon ) and i would like to have a theme for the party but not sure what yet???
he LOVES to watch Jack's Big Music show on Noggin & he loves Moose & Zee on Noggin also... i would love to do one of those as a theme but i don't think any stores carry party stuff for those shows??? any suggestions would be appreciated...

i could do sesame street also b/c he likes that too...but i want to do something a little "different"...

Re: 1st Birthday--Party themes???

I had a Sesame Street theme since it's pretty much all that Michael knows. He doesn't watch TV during the day because he's rarely home, but when he is, Elmo and the Sesame Street clan is his favorite. Not sure if you've seen my pictures, but if you want, I can easily post the link. I thought it was a good theme! Chat Icon

I'm not familiar with this Jack (although I caught it on Noggin yesterday) - I think that's a good theme since it is different!

We recently went to a Baby Einstein party and I thought it was a cute, colorful theme as well! Chat Icon

Re: 1st Birthday--Party themes???

I was thinking of having Jared's birthday at the beach. He was born in June too. This birthday would be a 30th b-day for my DH/1st birthday party for Jared. Maybe at Lido Beach where you can B-B-Q...I don't want to have anything in my co-op, because it's too small and I don't want to spend a lot of money having it at a restaurant.

I'm still undecided...

I did Baby Einstein theme for Kevin's 1st birthday. It is really the only show he was interested in so I felt it was fitting - plus I love the primary colors - felt it was very colorfula nd bright and happy. Also, I really wanted to make the caterpillar cake once I saw pictures online on another message board. (I posted pictures not too long ago - not sure if you saw them). I considered a sports theme or sesame street but figured I could always do those as he got older. Baby Einstein seemed cute for a 1 year old.

MichaelsMommy's Sesame street party was so cute! She did a great job of doing table centerpieces and matching the colors to them - it was one of the most original sesame street parties I have been to! Plus she did the entire cast - not just Elmo!

I'm doing a barnyard animal theme. Sarah really favors books with animals and loves playing with her Little People farm. I can't wait!
