How many of you give the baby vitamins?

In the beginning I remmeber the doc had the baby on polyvisol until like2-3 months. After that we changed doctors and it wasn't brought up again. My mom was appaled to find out the baby was not taking vitamins. I thought that they get all their vitamins from formula or breastmilk till a year old. I feel horrible I hope he is getting what he needs.

Our ped. gave us flouride drops when Christopher was 6 months, so I give him those every day.

Re: baby vitamins

I had to start our daughter on poly when she was 4 months or so because I was nursing and at a certain point they loose the nutriants that are in formula so she had to be compensated with the vits. Now sticking to them was another story... When she turned 18 months I started her on gummi vits once a day. She eats healthy so I really don't need them, but it was approved by the doc. so why not.

I think if the doctor didn't mention it, he/she is not too concered, however I would call and ask.

Is it the liquid with the dropper?

I put it in Andrew's fruit jars or yogurt. Otherwise he cringes when he sees the dropper!

We started on Polyviflor, and we put it in thier cereal. I have put it directly in thier mouth, but it smells nasty and I heard it stains, so I don't do it normally.

Julia takes the poli-v-flor right from the dropper, I started giving it to her at 6mths. No problems w/ it.
