Its actually near Cortland.
Cortland is close to both Syracuse & Ithaca...so I definitely now believe that is those would be the cities they speak of in the listing. I went to SUNY Cortland and believe me...going to Syracuse was like taking a trip to NYC for us!

I'm pretty sure dh's parents area code is 607- thats the Binghamton area.

Maybe the mean it's minutes from the Hornell city limits? Cause it sure as he ll is not ANYWHERE near Cortland, Ithaca or Syrace -
it was over 2 hours away from Cortland and Syracuse
1 1/2 hours away from Ithaca
It looks beautiful but I agree with the other poster who said that for the middle of nowhere - not even ANYWHERE near one of the larger upstate cities - it is expensive (at least I think so).
