chicken soup

What fresh veggies do you add to your chicken soup? I have celery, carrots and onions so far....Help please!

Sometimes I add leeks, and potatoes or asparagus. My dad puts peas. Really anything. I also put fresh dill in the soup. It doesn't sound like it would taste good until you have it. MMMMM

sometimes I add small small pieves of potatoes. Make sure you like Dill if you add it, its a very strong flavor. I cant even add the smallest amount, because I dislike the taste so much.

Carrots, celery and onions are staples, but I also add leeks, parsnips, turnips, potatoes and parsley! Just buy the soup veggie mix at the grocery store. It has all the essentials except I usually have to add potatoes.

Gottcha! Sometimes, they don't always offer it. But the great thing about soup is that you don't have to buy anything exotic. Just carrots, celery, onions and potatoes are pretty much all you need!

my mom normally uses parsley, carrots, onions,celery,1 can of crush tomatoes italian seasoning black pepper(dash)than she makes orzo seperately. gl

Chicken Soup is how we clear out the fridge...so green beans, corn, carrots... go in.

Tom's mom gave me her recipe for it and she includes carrots, celery, onions, parsnips and turnips......it's incredible!!!!
