Christening Places

I am in the process of looking for a place to have a party for my son's christening. I was going to do it at our house, until I made a BASIC list (all family, no friends) and It will be about50-60 people in June ( and we have 1 bathrooom!) - I am in mid-suffolk, but can't spend crazy $$$. Any suggestions would be great (and pricing if you don't mind sharing)

Re: Christening Places

What area are you looking for?

Also - June is quite busy with graduations, communions, etc. so I'd move on it as quickly as possible.

I went to a christening this weekend at Pomodorinos on Motor Parkway in Hauppauge. I really dont know the cost but my friend did say it was affordable. and it was really nice! The food was good the room was cozy they had about 60-70 people there!

That is where I was going to recommend.
There is also Bellport Country Club (Bellport), Irish Coffee Pub (East Islip), Carriage House (Babylon), Captain Bills (Bayshore)

Re: Christening Places

Thanks for the suggestions...Marcie I was married at Bellport and I already gave them a call, they wanted $28-30 pp and $10pp additional for beer, wine and soda...a little too expensive for me. We called Irish Times in Holbrook and they wanted 22.50 pp which was more affordable.

Irish Times is nice, and they have the private room there. I was there recently for a baby shower and it was great!

Re: Christening Places

we are doing plated sit down dinner and its 28pp comes with appetizer, salad, choice of 3 dinner dishes and a sheet cake

we are getting two room becuase we have a large family, they have been very accomodating, children are 1/2 price and 2 children = 1 adult when guaranteeing people.

they do have buffet and brunch which i believe is much cheaper.

You can look into Giorgio's. They can hold all types of parties over 15 people.

Irish Times is in the same town as me. I love their little glass enclosed room and the food is great!
